Villa Mare Monte ApartHotel

I only stayed one night as it was a transit stop before moving on to Sitia. The lady on reception stayed late as she knew I would arrive after it was closed. Apartment 12 was lovely. The terrace had a view of the sea. The bedroom was more boutique than standard in Greece. I arrived by taxi that the property can organise from the airport. I had breakfast before I left which was a buffet. The complex is situated in a quiet spot on the hillside with a pool. I would stay here again.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at this hotel – I'd give it a perfect 10 stars! The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the pool was just as pristine. The rooms were big, which was wonderful for families like mine. The kids' beds were ultra-comfy – far better than typical sofa beds. It was such a pleasant surprise that each child had their own cozy bed. The entire staff, including the owner, were incredibly warm and helpful, always there with a smile. Amanda and the owner in particular, was a true gem. The hotel's location is a winner – peaceful yet conveniently close to a variety of restaurants in the central area. Close to Amazing crystal clear water beach Potamos beach - with blue laggons What's more, it's just a quick 25-minute drive from the airport. And that pool? The view of the mountains and trees is simply stunning. It's an oasis of relaxation. In a nutshell, this hotel is an absolute dream for families. Impeccably clean rooms, super comfy beds for the kids, great location, a gorgeous pool with an incredible view and the cherry on top super friendly and attentive team – I Highly recommend it!

Beautiful welcoming and friendly staff. Fabulous pool area nestled in greenery . Easy to get to different locations in reliable taxis. The best comfortable beds and great food available at very reasonable prices.

Villa Monte Mare is a lovely place surrounded by a beautiful garden. I really enjoyed swimming in the pool and looking at the rocks and moutains above the hotel. There is also a nice view on the sea from balconies. I appreciate that it is quiet place in contrast to the noisy center of Malia. All the staff, especially Elektra and a British lady at the bar, are very nice and helpful. Their breakfasts and dinners are fresh and tasty, they also have very good wines.
